Spanish Language School in Barcelona

I found in Versión Original a perfect school for my needs. It is small, so special attention is paid to each student. The teachers really like to teach, organising the lesson according to the particular problems we had. Lessons were always fun, so we could learn a lot without realizing. I also liked my accommodation. Living with people who were so warm and willing to help you with any problem, both linguistic and logistic, helped me feel at home in a short time. Those were the reasons, and also what I felt for the whole city, why I chose to stay in Barcelona for 6 months. I advise you: if you study at Versión Original, you will not want to go back home!”

I was studying at Versión Original in August 2004 and it was really good. We had a small group so we could all speak a lot! The truth is I chose this school because it was the cheapest one, but I had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is really good and familiar, so it is very comfortable to learn and talk in. Now my brother lives in Barcelona and I sent him to the same school. I also want to say Barcelona is a really nice city to spend the summer and meet a lot of people."

Version Original is the best school in BCN! Why? Because you get to learn practical Spanish. Most schools only teach what is in the text book. But what you learn in this school can immediately be practiced with local people, and it is so much fun! And they have such a great atmosphere, you will definitely enjoy learning there! I was in BCN for one year but I learned so much from them that by the time I left I could speak Spanish fluently.”

This summer I had a good opportunity to learn Spanish and I looked for a school on the Internet. I chose Version Original for its name, ha, ha, ha! I liked its location (city centre, easy to find, easy to reach by underground), its price, the fact it’s being a small school and, also, the method. They quickly found for me what I wanted: a Spanish family near the school. They were all very nice to me and answered my questions. During the two weeks I learnt a lot and I liked the method: speaking, learning with games, etc. When I stayed there I found a very patient teacher, who was passionate about teaching, always in a good mood, very kind and helpful. I went to eat tapas with the teachers and the other students. This is a very nice and famous activity in Spain which allows you to try the typical food in the country. These two weeks went by really fast and I loved my time there. When I felt I was in a better situation to learn, as if I had a click, I had to go back to Switzerland. It was a pity I couldn’t stay longer… one week, or better two… I hope I will be back again.”

I arrived at Version Original unable to speak a word of Spanish, and left after 3 weeks on the Intensive Course able not only to understand conversational Spanish but also to make myself understood. I've never been good at learning languages but the teaching staff were able to make the whole process of learning fun!
